FCleaner detailed analyze report is done!
In the new version 1.0.8.1208 of FCleaner, a detailed analyze/clean report has been available for you.
When the ‘analyze/clean’ process is finished, now you can see a report like below as default (figure1). There is a ‘[+]‘ sign at the top line. It can be clicked. When you click it, it will become ‘[-]‘ and the details will be shown to you (figure2).
When you click the sign ‘[-]‘, it will become ‘[+]‘ and the details will be hidden.
In the new report, you can also see a ‘Scan/Clean time’ result. It records the time of the analyzing process or the cleaning process. It is very useful if you want to compare the performances among several different cleaning softwares.
From the feedbacks we have found that many users don’t know how to add a new language pack for FCleaner. So we add this ‘add language pack’ feature in this release. Click the ‘Add’ button and select the language pack you want. This pack will be added to FCleaner automatically. ‘Restart FCleaner’ isn’t necessary now. You can find all availabe language packs of FCleaner here.
From this version, FCleaner can handle the cookies of FireFox 3.x (I am using FireFox 3.0.4)
Many new features have be planned and will be added step by step to FCleaner in the future. Your donating, supporting and spreading FCleaner will be very helpful for us to realize this aim. We thank all FCleaner users:-)

why does fcleaner run at startup and ccleaner does not i think you need to address this. thank you otherwise pretty sweet program.
@laserjet
In ‘Options’, you can check/uncheck ‘Run FCleaner when Windows startup’ to let FCleaner run/not run at Windows startup. You can change this by yourself.
ok then i like that i probably just overlooked it.thanks for the reply and keep up the good work on this project its a keeper.
How can I clear the logs? I hate having unnecessary logs accumulating *anywhere* !
I uninstalled FCleaner.
I won’t keep any program whose logs I can’t clear
@Luke G. Retriever
What logs? The installation logs or …?
Just downloaded FCleaner and now I’m wondering if it is a virus and /or spyware cleaner or not. I recently uninstalled AVG and really need to make sure that I have a anti-virus tool on my computer.
Thanks, David G.
i was really worried about the security of my comp asthere are lots of programes these days and you dont know who to trust.but thanks to fcleaner.it has proved to be totally efficient and looks after my computer very well.
@David G
FCleaner is not an anti-virus software. You need a professional anti-virus software to protect your computer.
@harkanwal mander
Thank you:)
@ mike
The logs of what it cleaned.
If I don’t want a program to keep logs, I should be able to configure it not to keep them… or at least be able to delete them.
@Luke G. Retriever
The logs will be used by FCleaner. If you want to delete them, you can find them here, usually in X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FTWeak\FCleaner\Reports . Here X: is the Windows System partition.
So why are there items still showing after the 1st cleaning? Am I to assume they’re “safe”?
@kashzka
Some files cannot be deleted when they are in ‘locked’ status. If some application use one file in a ‘lock’ mode, this file cannot be deleted/removed before it is unlocked. FCleaner will detect this, if the file is locked, FCleaner will not clean it.
my computer has to much on e i dont how to free space.
can you help me?
@rosa
Hi rosa, you can download and install FCleaner from our site. And then check all items you want to clean in the Cleaner tab, do ‘run cleaner’ action to clean them. That’s all.
